The Masters world championship race week takes place just one week before the UCI World Championships. The World Bike Race Week is one of the oldest continuously run masters’ races in the history of the sport. The promotion runs like clockwork has 8 different events: a criterium, road race, scratch road race, hill climb, pair’s time trial, street sprints, road race and individual time trial, plus an Omnium and hill climber’s masters winners jersey.
Deutschlandsberg is an amazing austrian mountain town about 50 min. away from Graz, the capital of the province, Styria, in Austria. Deutschlandsberg has a history which in fact makes it a great old town. The Deutschlandsberg region has been inhabited area since the late stone age and early bronze age period. The volunteers and directors have been involved in the event almost as long.
