From Las Vegas to Kingman AZ

Our day started before sunrise. The van was packed, bikes double checked and by 9am we have passed Vegas and Bolder city and went to see lake Mead and Hoover dam. I stayed longer at the dam to take pictures but soon went chasing Tom and Cesar who already crossed Colorado river. I caught up with them about  20 miles on I93 observation deck in the company of two beautiful Michigan ladies who fed Tom and Cesar bagels and coffee. We took pictures together from this spot overlooking the river flowing through the canyon below. Soon after the road got straight and flat but going got very tough. Strong wind picked up and the road had no shoulder at all. Semi-trailers passing at 90 mph made it very uncomfortable. We made a stop at the place called Bullets and Burgers where anyone can shoot a .50 cal machine gun. We skipped on that fun and had some good sandwiches and burgers while listening to distant gunshots. That was the last stop on the way through the desert all the way to Kingman AZ. The road didn't get any better and soon guys had to start climbing. Finally after passing Coyote Pass at 3737 altitude we have reached Kingman.

Our hotel here is right on historic rout 66 and we want to see all colorful diners and gas stations that look like scenes from old movies.
Special thanks to Carl Blum who helped us a great deal with planning our trip, showing us around Vegas and making some of the most amazing pictures. We are lucky to meet  a hell of a guy like him.

And thank you Hillary - the best receptionist in Kingman AZ.

Happy birthday P17 !
