Stradalli Cycle® Full Carbon 27mm Wide Deep Section 40/50 Road Clincher Wheel Set
100% 3K Weave Carbon Fiber
Our new 40/50mm Full Carbon Clincher Wheelset features a 27mm wide rim at the brake track. The wider rim creates a more aerodynamic profile, offers more control crosswinds, and better handling and control. Our new profile creates better aerodynamics at wider yaw angle. We all know that you're never riding head on into a headwind. In other words, our new 27mm wide rim is more aerodynamic in crosswinds than our previous model. The rim being wider at the break track also means the tire is spread further apart, allowing for a larger contact patch with the ground. This allows for better handling, especially at speed. The wider rim just flat out looks cooler than our skinnier models, and we all know that's what matters most!

Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/Stradalli Cycle continues their win streak, grabbing 2 wins over the 3 day race weekend at the Intelligentsia Cup Prairie State Cycling Series in Waukegan, IL. The first victory of the weekend came on Day 1 when the team lined up for the Vista Health System Waukegan Criterium. Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/Stradalli Cycle showed complete dominance over the field and controlled the race over the 60 minutes, never allowing any attacks from other teams to get away. On the final lap of the race the Colavita train was well positioned to easily deliver sprint specialist Erica Allar for her first win of the weekend. Saturday's race, the Northwestern Medicine Lake Bluff Criterium, was the crown jewel of the weekend for Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/Stradalli Cycle as it was the 12th stop on the NCC. Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/Stradalli Cycle continues to lead the individual and team classification standings. The 1.4K course in downtown Lake Bluff consisted of narrow roads with a tight final 180 degree turn before heading into a long, rising uphill drag to the finish. Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/Stradalli Cycle was once again an active participant in the race, ensuring no dangerous moves got away unless it consisted of the right rider combinations that were advantageous to the team's chance of winning. A late race move saw Mary Zider explode for a prime, which allowed her to keep going up the road, while being joined by Pepper Palace's Sarah Fadar. The two riders were able to maintain a sizable lead and put a bit of pressure on the opposing team's sprinters. However, it was not enough to stick as the break of two was brought back in the closing laps of the race. Once the break was caught, it became clear the finish would come down to a field sprint. The finishing power stretch proved to be right in Allar's wheel-house as she captured her second victory of the weekend.

In the final race of the weekend Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/Stradalli Cycle went into the Tour de Crystal Lake with high confidence after winning the previous two races on the weekend. The team raced hard and smart, controlling much of the race, but as bike racing goes, things don't always go as planned. An unlucky final lap caused Allar to finish in a hard fought fourth place. Erica Allar ended the 3 day weekend leading the Prairie State Cycling Series Overall.

Manhattan Beach, CA- Team Colavita/Fine Cooking / Stradalli Cycle traveled to Manhattan Beach, CA for the 10th
stop on the NCC calendar. Sunday's Manhattan
Beach Grand Prix challenged the peloton with a 2.1K course that was
fast and technical. The course featured two long
straight-aways and two sweeping 180° turns, plus 50' of climbing per
lap. Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/ Stradalli Cycle showed little weakness
on this challenging course, all while working extremely well as a team.
The backside headwinds did little to discourage an onslaught of break
away attempts; however, those attempts were futile and as predicted the race
came down to a bunch field sprint.
Team Colavita/Fine Cooking remained focused on their race plan and
demonstrated near perfect execution in their leadout for sprint specialist
Erica Allar on her Stradalli R7. The hard fought positioning in the final lap
of the race was done in textbook fashion by the Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/ Stradalli Cycle lead out specialists, leaving Allar with a clear shot for the
final sprint. Allar's victory at the Manhattan
Beach Grand Prix is her second in as many years. Allar
continues to lead the NCC Individual Standings and Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/ Stradalli Cycle leads the overall team standings.
Team Colavita/Fine Cooking/ Stradalli Cycle now heads north of the
border for a few days of racing in British Columbia for the BC Superweek.
The team, consisting of Erica Allar, Jessi Prinner and Mary Zider will
compete in the Global
Relay Gastown Grand Prix and the Giro di Burnaby.
